"Everything is beautiful in His time".
This verse means a lot to me, especially when I experienced the biggest change of my life in 1988.
It is all started when I was 12 years old, where I had my first job with my parents in a textile industry. Textile industry was the most popular business back then in Bandung. Therefore, my dream was to develop my own textile shop; and with God's guidance, I was able to achieve that dream when I was 16 years old.
Everything went well, even until now, the shop is still standing and has been popular among the community. However, with only the shop, I would not be able to go further and bigger reaching my "Big Hairy Audacious Goal": to be a blessing for everyone and be blessed by God. Thus, I believe in another verse: "But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well".
Since then, I experienced the miracle and started the biggest change in my life, when I met Mr. Ginawan Chondro. With a strong relationship, he and I joining hands and started something that we did not have knowledge or skills or experience ? Istana Group, a property developing company.
We started it small and simple, and sooner it grew bigger more than we expected. Our name became well known fast and we recruited more talented people and open more job opportunities for the community. Moreover, with these blessings, we started corporate social responsibility instantaneously, through supporting the staffs, communities and government in their social issues.
Mr. Ginawan and I share one vision of helping the communities through the company that we have established. We will provide one of the three primary needs ? housings ? that are proper for the communities with complete facilities in affordable price. In addition, providing more job opportunities for the communities as nowadays it is getting harder to get a proper job, which can support one family's daily life.
I would like to thank everyone who has been contributing his or her energy, time, talent, skills, knowledge and experiences for Istana Group, which has been phenomenal and made the triumph of Istana Group.
My message for all the readers of Istana Group's Company Profile is that you all can help the communities too, through Istana Group's projects. All the projects that we have completed have achieved certain goals for the communities and support the people in every department who assist and make the projects successful.
Lastly, We welcome all investors, partners, suppliers and talented people to join our team and work together with all our group members. And we would definitely make all your efforts worth it to the communities, as well as yourselves. Istana Group without doubt would make you proud as stakeholders of the company.
